The name SEAHOG BOATS reflects the company’s humble origins more than 40 years ago, when the very first Seahog Hunter was built in a converted pigsty. What began as a modest operation quickly evolved into a defining moment in the company’s history with the launch of the Hunter — a model that would establish Seahog Boats as a respected name in British boatbuilding.
The highly acclaimed Hunter became the flagship of the Seahog range, setting the standard for quality, durability, and performance. Today, there are well over 2,000 Seahog vessels in service, ranging from 10-foot dinghies to 30-foot offshore fishing boats, testament to the brand’s enduring reputation and customer loyalty.
Under the leadership of proprietor Arnie Holt, the original riverside premises were significantly expanded to include comprehensive laminating and finishing workshops, a fully equipped engineering facility, an in-house upholstery and trim department, and one of the region’s largest and most competitively priced chandlery stores
